History of Amazing Futures
Amazing Futures Foundation, Inc. obtained its nonprofit certification in 2011. AFF stemmed out of Building Futures, LLC, a for profit limited liability company founded in 2005 that offers parent-child relationship building programs for parents, as well as success and self-esteem programs for children. These programs have had a phenomenal effect on the children they have served:
Based upon the positive results of her parenting classes and the many requests made by parents to "please teach this stuff to our kids!!", Nancy created the nonprofit organization as a way to offer the programs as after-school activities and summer camps. - Teens who originally couldn't stand being in the same room as their parents now eagerly await family night
- Children whose fears were getting in the way of their success are now using fear-neutralizing strategies
- Kids who displayed very negative attitudes and behaviors are now appropriately working through their anger
- Kids that were shy are now comfortable talking to others
- Children that were very uncomfortable in their own skin learned to value and appreciate themselves
